(c)(3) Public Policy Summit
Nonprofits and Grantmakers Standing Together!

Kentucky Nonprofit Network and Grantmakers of Kentucky invite you to join us for the second annual opportunity for nonprofits and grantmakers to create a shared strategy to advance and protect the nonprofit sector.

Registration/Continental Breakfast begins at 9:30am EST and the event will conclude at 3:30pm EST. The event kicks off at 10:00am EST with a call to action from nonprofit leaders and special guest, Diana Bucco, President of the Buhl Foundation of Pittsburgh.
Diana Bucco
Buhl Foundation, Pittsburgh
Diana will lead a discussion on the vital role nonprofits and funders play in a strong, unified voice for the sector.  Experienced in strategic revisioning of philanthropy that has helped foundations lead the way in supporting advocacy, strategic restructuring, fiscal modeling and community-driven neighborhood revitalization, Diana will guide nonprofit and philanthropic leaders through a strategic discussion for strengthening the nonprofit and grantmaker public policy partnership.

The day's agenda also includes discussion on key public policy issues, including the impact of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act; legislation to create a universal charitable giving tax deduction; efforts to weaken or repeal the Johnson Amendment; expansion of sales tax to nonprofits in Kentucky; property tax threats; tax reform; and more. Participants will engage in small and large group discussions to develop action plans for addressing state and federal public policy issues.

*Have questions about supporting and engaging in advocacy?  Check out our webinar recording with the Bolder Advocacy Program at Alliance for Justice.

**Note: The (c)(3) Public Policy Summit is a solicitation-free event. By registering for this event, you agree to abide by this policy and agree you will not to solicit any grantmaker(s) while in attendance at the Summit.
